Follow Your Dream

Follow Your DreamsYesterday I was enjoying my success going beyond my fear of technology.
In the evening I got a wonderful present from the Universe for this achievement. I saw a wonderful movie about the human spirit.

The movie is called: “The fastest Indian in the World. It’s the true story of Burt Munro, a New-Zealander that at the age of 68 set the world land speed record for under-1000 cc motorcycle on a self-modified Indian motorcycle from 1920. However this movie is not about world records being broken neither is it about motorcycles or even an historical movie. This movie is about following your heart and fulfilling a dream.

Burt Munro had a dream. He wanted to set a world land speed and he wanted to see how fast his beloved motorbike would go. It is about going to the limit, it’s about doing ANYTHING to fulfill a dream. In the movie Anthony Hopkins, who plays Burt Monro (another good reason to go and see the movie) says to the only guy that really believes in him, a 9 year-old kid that lives next to him, he tells him: “If you don’t live your life following your dreams, you better become a vegetable, what vegetable? I guess you just might have been a cabbage.

That’s exactly what it comes down to. When we don’t really go for our dreams, when we give up on what we truly think is possible for us, we allow ourselves to become cabbages.

The movie also shows what happens when you truly are committed to follow your dreams. No matter how big the obstacles are – once you take a step forward the Universe takes 1,000 steps towards you and helps you to achieve your dream.

Burt Munro is so set in going for his dream he does this less with the adolescent, gut-tightening bravado of the “Rocky” sports-movie formula than with a quiet sense that when you put an intention out to the universe, it invariably will organize the forces to help you. Burt is so open to life and its multitudinous possibilities that all manner of people immediately spark to him and help him out. He meets all kind of people on his way and although at the beginning it seems as if they might stop him, he is so innocent and open that it opens their hearts and they help him to get and achieve his goal.

If you wish to spend a good evening and go to bed inspired and with a smile, go to your local video shop and look for “The Fastest Indian in the World.

Keep on dreaming and follow that dream!

Have a great day!
