Consciouss Millionaires - Giving on a large scale

Giving Back.jpgIn the midst of the financial crisis taking place in the US, here are some facts that we should all be aware of:

*    Bear Stearns employees, donated about $500,000 to Citymeals each year — due to the firm’s requirement that its 1,000 senior directors contribute 4 percent of their annual compensation to charity.

*    Lehman Brothers gave away $39 million in the U.S., Europe and Asia. Also they pledged $10 million to Spelman College in Atlanta to help establish a center for global finance

*    Bank of America gave away $200 million last year for different charity groups.

*    Merrill Lynch made more than $43 million in charitable grants in 2007.

*    Freddie Mac’s had given $348 million since 1991, with recent grants going to scores of organizations that house homeless children, support schools and feed the poor.

The reason I find it amazing is that this contradicts the common belief and an old condition that people have which is: “Rich people are stingy”. What it does show is that when you are rich you can give much more. You have the ability to contribute much more to society, and to the welfare of this world.

One of the basic core values of Feminine Leadership is giving. Giving is the other side of receiving.
Therefore if you wish to receive anything in your life, you first need to give it. It is that simple.
If you wish happiness, simply give happiness to the people around you.If you wish love, simply give love.
If you wish friendships, joy or abundance simply give it to the people around you and you will receive loads of it.

When you withhold your giving, you are withholding your source of abundance. You are stopping the flow of your own energy and you suffocate.

Sounds a little too easy, doesn’t it? Where’s the catch? The catch is that you have to give without expecting anything in return. Giving for the sake of giving. Only then the flow begins.

The intention behind the giving is the most important. The intention has to be for the creation of happiness, harmony, peace and joy, as these are fundamental to life. The reward will be there when you give from your heart and without condition.

Most rich people know this Universal success rule and therefore you’ll find that most real successful people will be generous givers.

The financial fall of these big corporations is not just a fall of them but it might be also a fall of those that truly give and contribute to the improvements of those that need it.

I find the requirement of Bear Stearns that their top directors contribute 4% of their annual compensation to charity – as a sign of being a Conscious Millionaire. The world needs more of those today.
