What’s Your Word?

The Power of Words.gifAfter my last post, people have nagged me and asked why do I give so much meaning to the word CHANGE.

The reason is that in my opinion words have powers. We have a saying in Hebrew that “life and death are on the tip of your tongue”  The words you use will say a lot about who you are and what world view do you hold.

This became even more clear to me after I read Elizabeth Gilbert’s book ‘Eat, Pray, Love’. In the book there is a part where she is speaking with her friend Giulio about how words define people and places.

For example… Rome’s word is SEX, the Vatican’s word is POWER, New York City’s word is ACHIEVE, Los-Angeles word is SUCCEED and Stockholm’s word is CONFORM.

I thought about this for many days after reading this and then I was looking at my mobile and the opening message just reminded me immediately what is my word is; it said – LOVE – is always the answer…

So the obvious question is - what’s your word? It could be the word in your family as you were growing up. Or it could be the word which drives you now.

What is your word?

    Hi darling,

I love reading your blogs! My word is POSITIVE, because when you are positive the energy is high. It is also a challenge to see in “negative” things (yeah I know it is non supportive things hihiih) the positive. Sometimes it took a while, but it always works for me.

After my moms death I really was in a non supportive situation. I realised after I was on my feet’s again, that this period was the best period of my live. It gives me so much insights and I changed a lot in my live after this period.

    with love and hugs
    Marina
