Change is More Than Just a Word

butterfly.jpgChange is more than just a word that can be used as an election slogan. Watching the election race in the US has suddenly turned into a competition who can say the word more times than the other.

However, let’s remember that change is not in your hands. Change is not something that you do, it is something that happens all the time whether you want it or not. The question that the candidates need to answer is – in which direction are we going to take the change to?

If you look at nature you will quickly realize that change is inevitable. Nature doesn’t initiate the change, which is probably done by a force that is bigger and wiser than anything that we can ever conceive. However, what nature does is use the change in order to rise up to a higher level of consciousness and improve whatever takes place.

Looking at the butterfly makes you realize how fortunate we are. Imagine having to wake up every morning not knowing in what shape you are and what you are supposed to be eating or doing. Think how many changes the butterfly has to go through in its life cycle….

Feminine Leadership is about embracing change instead of fighting against it. It is about being aware of the change and being able to respond to it not react. It’s about using change to elevate us to a higher state of being, improve the quality of our life and use more of our potential.

If you want to check who is actually going to bring change in it’s real form, and not just as a slogan, you’ll need to listen to what they intend doing.

Bringing back family values is not a change. It’s a just a reactive mode of operation that is about trying to determine what is the “right” values for family in order to declare someone’s else values as the “wrong” values.

Objecting to recognize women’s right on their body is not change. It’s about trying to turn the wheels of time and take us back to middle ages where women’s value where less than those of men. The fact that a woman is advocating for it does not mean that it brings us to a new era.

Supporting drilling more oil and exploiting an over exploited earth is not change. It’s the same old system of let’s use as much as we can and forget about tomorrow. The fact that it is said with a smile and a lipstick does not make it Feminine Leadership. And don’t let me start even about the polar bears…

No, Sara Palin is definitely not a representative of what is Feminine Leadership. Feminine Leadership is not about gender – it is about values, it is about directions and it is about looking at things differently and making sure WE ALL grow and we all achieve and have the opportunity to live the life we came here to live and live to our full potential, not just the lucky ones.

Feminine Leadership can be accomplished by both man and woman, the change is not in the person but in the message that they have. Let us listen to the message and know if change is on their mind or not.
