How Do You Live Your Life?
I got a lot of responds to the piece about Mother Teresa, and mainly it was a question about why do I keep writing about women that died.
Well, the truth is that I write about Role Models and influential women. Those women that (in my opinion) have created influence in our world and made a difference in the world. There are a lot of living women that today are changing the way we live and create major shifts in our consciousness and I do write about them (see Oprah and Joan Cooney)
But the most important part is – How do YOU live your life. How do you lead your own private life on the daily basis? What impact do you carry on the people around you?
I find it so important that we each check on a daily basis what is it that we are doing each day to bring into the world a bit more of love, friendship, support and compassion. It’s the small things that matter, because at the end of our days, its those things that people will remember you by.
It’s the chicken soup that you brought to a friend when they were sick at home all by themselves. It’s the changing of the tire in the middle of the night that you came to help with. It’s the support you gave when the kid was sick. It’s the support you gave when they had to finish a project for the deadline and were running out of time. Those are the things that matter. Those are the things that people remember.
One of my favorite inspirational pieces is called “The Dash – it’s about how you live your life. If you haven’t seen it yet check it out and make your own conclusions on how you make your life.
Have a great day!
